Being a rather old lady at four hundred years plus and a Grade II plus listed building, Thorpe Hall is not without her idiosyncrasies. Her floors creak a little . . . Her windows are not double glazed and therefore, prone to a draft or two . . . and she is not sound proofed – to name but a few! Like all great ladies, she asks to be treated with respect. We think that her quirks are all part of her charm and hope you agree! You can relax in the drawing room housing the Farsyde portraits over the fireplace or weather permitting, you may prefer to enjoy the grounds. Wherever you choose, we hope you always feel at home.
Thorpe Hall has eight bedrooms with facilities which are en-suite, private or shared. All rooms offer stunning views out to the coastline or over the village of Fylingthorpe and come equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. With so much to offer outside your room, please note that we have intentionally not placed televisions in our rooms, but you will find alarm clocks with line-in connection for MP3 players if you prefer a little background music. Sadly, radio reception and internet connections cannot be guaranteed as the walls are too thick!, but wifi is available in most parts of the house. Hair dryer, iron and iron board are available upon request.
Breakfast is either Continental or Fully Cooked, depending upon the day of the week. A Continental Breakfast is served Monday through Friday mornings, whilst a fully cooked Yorkshire breakfast is available on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Timings are 08.30-09.30 each day, with times outside of this upon request. We are proud to serve Baytown Coffee and Yorkshire Tea, and source local produce whenever possible.
